The past two decades for American space innovation has been extremely prosperous, to put it lightly. We continue to dominate the field in terms of discovery and speed, but the Chinese hint at exploring a new type of field: Space warfare.
While innocently enough, technology in the civilian space exploration continues to operate out of necessity for the program; but could some of the equipment be giving the Chinese military an edge?
“China operates satellites for communications, navigations, earth resources, weather, and intelligence surveillance, and reconnaissance, in addition to manned space and space exploration missions.” says Director of Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. Gen. Ronald L. Burgess on the issue.
Clearly, cause enough for concern that China’s ever growing military power may seek to utilize the instant and efficient satellite information systems that may aid China in territorial, buy valium usa political, and defense disputes against the United States. Earth’s “fly over “informational systems may be coming to an end as the space industry is growing by leaps and bounds.
Will a “Star Trek” type battle be in the works? Possibly. Rumors fly that the Chinese may be working on a mystery plane that will fly through atmospheric layers and have the capabilities of a revolutionary spy drone. It could have the ability to quickly launch small satellites into orbit.
As China slowly catches up to America in the “space race”, any such developments may not be in effect for years to come. America’s technologies are more advanced than China… for now. The element of space could be the ultimate weapon in future developments to whoever gets there first…
